Glencoe, IL

The Rice Plant Conservation Center, a 38,000-square-foot state-of-the-art botanical research facility, serves as the home to a unique doctoral program in plant biology and conservation with Northwestern University. It is also the headquarters for the Garden’s international efforts in plant conservation. The Portico Group designed lively and evocative exhibits that express the Garden’s core conservation ethic and articulate its research activities. The Rice Center opened in the Fall of 2009.
