Zoos and Aquaria often began as collections of curiosities, but are now sources for, and illustration of diversity; as well as participants in, and resources for conservation activities on many levels.

Making places with meaning
We make places that recognize the special relationship people have with other wild life, places where people get up close and connect with the message.

Approaching the project
We understand the needs of the animals, the keeper staff, and the visitor and the funders. We place the collection in environments that stimulate both the viewer and the viewee with each exhibit considered as part of the whole, a sequence of experiences and adjacencies.

Joyous discovery
Only half of inch of glass separates us from them! Connections about interdependence, the value of life, and the daily dramas of animals different than ourselves.
