Authentic landscapes vetted by geologists, messages prepared in tandem with research scientists and a hearty overlay of fun mark this outstanding marine exhibit. Because memory is stored in the body, the Portico team orchestrated memorable physical experiences that will later trigger recall of the lessons learned at Steller Cove. Architecture, landscape architecture, exhibit design and interpretive design came together in this exhibits to highlight sea otters, Steller sea lions, a tide pool touch tank and a research station exhibit.
