Portico assisted the Washington State University Arboretum and Wildlife Conservation Center in creating a master plan that will be used to help raise funds for a new 170-acre arboretum. The plan takes advantage of the rolling Palouse landscape and includes the expansion of the University’s grizzly bear research program into a new 15-acre National Bear Center. The two facilities will share the space, creating a dynamic facility that celebrates this unique cultural and arid landscape while providing a conservation wildlife facility showcasing research of global significance.
