Portico completed the Las Vegas Springs Preserve Program and Master Plan for the largest remaining open space in Las Vegas. This 180-acre parcel is located three miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. The site, referred to as the “Central Park of Las Vegas,” is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and represents one of the richest and most unique cultural (Native American archaeology) and biological (endangered plant species and a created 10-acre cienega) resources in Southern Nevada. The facility provides indoor and outdoor experiences to teach the history of the valley, as well as to illustrate techniques for maintaining a sustainable lifestyle in the Mojave Desert.
